Cosworth pistons

With a desire to have the very best possible components in our race engines we approached Cosworth to design a bespoke piston for us.

The brief they were give was to produce an ultra light, low friction piston.

This is what they came up with. It weighs 260gms complete, has an ultra low friction 2 ring pack, a short, light & strong 18mm gudgeon pin and is coated with Xylan, a friction reducer, on the piston faces.

These must be the ultimate pistons ever produced for the A' Series engine & are now fitted to all our Miglia & Historic racers. Available flat topped or dished.

Special Saenz conrods have been produced specifically for use with these pistons (see conrods for details).

Please note these are not suitable for road engines.
